Sage 50 to QuickBooks Conversion
Leaving Sage 50 for QuickBooks? We move your data so the numbers still reconcile.
What we convert
We take your Sage 50 company file – US (the Peachtree lineage) or Canadian (Simply Accounting) – and rebuild your books inside QuickBooks. That includes your chart of accounts, customers, vendors, employees, items, and open balances, plus the transaction history you need to keep your reporting intact.
When we’re done, your Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet reconcile against the Sage originals. We check that before the file comes back to you – a conversion that doesn’t tie out isn’t finished.
What carries over, and what doesn’t
Most of what you work with day to day comes across cleanly. A few Sage features don’t have a direct QuickBooks equivalent and are handled as post-conversion setup rather than automatic data: bank reconciliations, budgets, memorized/recurring transactions, estimates, purchase and sales orders, custom form templates, and price levels. We tell you up front which of these apply to your file, so there are no surprises after delivery.
If your Canadian file has multi-currency turned on, there’s an important detail: Sage and QuickBooks handle foreign currency differently, and the whole file converts through journal entries as a result. We’ll flag that when we evaluate your file and explain what it means for your reports.
How the evaluation works
The price depends on the data, not just the file size – transaction volume, how many years of history you want, and how complex the file is. So we start with a free evaluation: you send us the file (or a Sage backup), we look at the key statistics, and we send back a flat-fee quote. No obligation.
To speed things up, have your Sage version and the QuickBooks edition you’re moving to ready, along with how many years of history you need carried over.
