Sage 50 Password Recovery
Locked out of your own Sage 50 company file? We can restore your access.
The situation
The company file is fine. You just cannot get into it.
This lands on businesses in a predictable way: the bookkeeper who set Sage 50 up has left, the accountant who held the administrator credentials retired, or a password was changed years ago and written down somewhere nobody can find. The books are intact and completely inaccessible, which is its own kind of emergency when a filing deadline is coming.
We restore administrator access to Sage 50 company files for both lineages - Sage 50 US (Peachtree) and Sage 50 Canadian (Simply Accounting).
We will need proof this is your file
This service exists to get owners back into their own books, and we treat that seriously. Before we do any work we ask you to establish that you are entitled to the file - typically that means requesting it from a company email address and being able to identify the business the records belong to.
We do not take this work on for third parties, and we do not take it on for files where ownership is unclear or disputed. If you are an accountant or IT provider acting for a client, that is fine, but the request needs to come with the client’s authorisation.
What you get back
Access to your own company file, with your data untouched. This is an access problem, not a data problem: the records, history, and structure are exactly as you left them.
If your file has multiple user accounts with individual passwords, tell us during the evaluation - the situation is a little different from a single lost administrator password and it is worth scoping properly.
What happens next
Send us the Sage 50 company file or a backup, along with the ownership details above. We will confirm what we can do and what it costs before any work begins. The evaluation is free.
While you are here: being locked out is a common prompt to ask whether Sage 50 is still the right home for these books. If that is on your mind, we also convert Sage 50 to QuickBooks and can restore access and convert in one pass.
