Can Sage 50 Pro or Premium be converted to QuickBooks, or only Quantum?
Yes. Sage 50 Pro, Premium, and Quantum data all convert to QuickBooks the same way; the edition does not restrict the move.
Yes. Sage 50 Pro and Premium convert to QuickBooks just as fully as Quantum does. No edition of Sage 50 is excluded. Our engineers work from the company data itself, so the edition name on the licence has never been the deciding factor.
Does the edition change the conversion?
Not in any way that blocks the move. Pro, Premium, and Quantum differ mainly in features: user counts, available modules, and add-ons. The data inside the company file is the same kind of material in all three: names, accounts, items, and history. The conversion reads that data directly, so a Pro file and a Quantum file go through the same process.
Region matters more than edition. We run one path for Sage 50 US to QuickBooks conversion (the old Peachtree line) and another for Sage 50 Canada to QuickBooks conversion (the old Simply Accounting line). Pro, Premium, and Quantum travel both paths equally.
What is needed to start the conversion?
To begin, we need four things from you:
- A recent backup of the Sage 50 company file, or a working copy of it.
- The administrator password, if the file is protected.
- The destination: QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online, and which edition.
- A history decision: convert every year on file, or start from a cutoff date.
What transfers in full depends on the file, not on its edition. Its age, its size, and the features you actually used all play a part. Rather than guess, we inspect first. The evaluation is free, and it tells you exactly what your conversion would include.
The first step
Send us a backup of the file for a free evaluation, along with your destination and history preference. Our engineers will examine it, confirm what it holds, and quote the work from what they actually see. Nothing is committed until you have that quote in hand.
