What to export from Sage Intacct for a QuickBooks conversion
The reports and lists to pull out of Sage Intacct so we can scope and convert your data into QuickBooks.
Sage Intacct is cloud ERP, so there’s no single company file to hand over – a conversion is built from exports you pull out of Intacct. The good news: the exports are reports you already have access to.
What we need to scope the job
To give you a quote and a plan, we start with a read on the shape of your data, not the sensitive contents. A Transaction Detail or General Ledger export is usually enough. You can strip out names, amounts, and any other sensitive columns before sending – we only need transaction types and counts to scope the work.
What we need to do the conversion
Once you’re ready to proceed, the typical export set is:
- General Ledger / Transaction Detail for the date range you want carried over
- Chart of Accounts
- Customers and Vendors lists
- Trial Balance as of your cut-over date (so we can prove the result ties out)
- Items / inventory, if you use them
How to export
In Intacct, most of these come from the Reports area: run the report, set your date range, and use Export to download CSV. If a report is very large, split it into smaller date ranges so nothing gets truncated.
Two things that affect scope
- Multiple entities / consolidations. If you run several entities or consolidated books, tell us – it changes how the conversion is structured.
- Multi-currency. Like other Sage products, multi-currency data maps into QuickBooks differently and is worth flagging early.
Not sure what you can pull?
That’s normal – Intacct setups vary a lot. Start a free evaluation and we’ll point you to the exact exports for your configuration. Pointing you to the right reports is part of the evaluation, not extra work for you.
